YBhg. Datuk (Dr.) Aminar Rashid holds a Diploma and Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, and an Executive Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in corporate advisory roles, currently serving as Corporate Advisor for several companies including PNA Technologies Sdn. Bhd., Metal Industries of Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Faresh Motor Sdn. Bhd., and Warisan Wira Security Sdn. Bhd., among others.
Datuk (Dr.) Aminar has held prominent leadership positions in major corporations, notably serving as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of MBM Resources Berhad (2019-2023) and Chairman of its Group Transformation Committee (2020-2021). He also chaired the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and was a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee during his tenure at MBM Resources Berhad. His experience extends to automotive industry leadership, where he was the President and CEO of Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn. Bhd. (Perodua) from 2013 to 2018, and Managing Director of Perodua from 2009 to 2012.
In addition to his executive roles, Datuk (Dr.) Aminar has served on the Board of Directors of Universiti Teknologi MARA Holdings (UiTMH), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). His leadership experience across industries, particularly in strategic transformation and governance, makes him a valuable asset in corporate decision-making.
YBhg. Dato’ Hairil Yahri Yaacob is currently the Deputy Secretary General (International Trade) of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, Malaysia. He holds a Master’s Degree in Strategy & Diplomacy from the National University of Malaysia and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent at Canterbury, United Kingdom.
He joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1995 and has been in the Malaysian civil service for over 28 years. He started his career as the Assistant Secretary at the East Asia Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and had a change of portfolio as the Assistant Secretary at the International Relations Division, Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities, in 1998.
He has extensive experience in economics and commerce, public management and social development management throughout his career as, among others, Deputy Secretary General (Investment) at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Counselor (Economics) at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland from 2005-2008 and Minister Counselor (Economics) at the Embassy of Malaysia, Washington D.C, United States of America from 2011-2018.
As Malaysia hosted APEC 2020, he assumed the role of the Chair of the Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM). Under his steward leadership, Malaysia successfully concluded APEC 2020 on a high note with the adoption of the Putrajaya Vision 2040 and pioneered the digital hosting of APEC meetings.
YBrs. Encik Faizal Mohd Yusof is currently the Senior Director of the Industrial Development Division at the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), Malaysia. He holds an LLB (Hons.) from the University of Northumbria, United Kingdom, and a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).
He joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1996, bringing over 27 years of experience in industrial development, trade facilitation and strategic policy formulation. Over the course of his career, he has held various key positions within MITI including Senior Director, Investment Policy and Trade Facilitation Division (2018–2023), Strategic Trade Controller (2015–2018), and Deputy Strategic Trade Controller (2010–2015).
Encik Faizal played a pivotal role in the establishment of Malaysia’s Strategic Trade Secretariat (STS) and the implementation of the Strategic Trade Act 2010, which positioned Malaysia as the regional model for export control and trade security under the UN Security Council Resolution 2004. His leadership in the Industrial Development Division covers major manufacturing sectors such as automotive, E&E, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, ICT, and emerging technologies.
In addition to his ministerial portfolio, he serves as a Board Member of the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC), where he also chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and sits on the Board Audit and Risk Management Committee. He is actively involved in MITI-led committees aligned with MARii’s mandate, including the Automotive Business Development Committee (ABDC) and the EV/NEV Technical Task Force, which oversee national policies on localisation, supplier upgrading, and the electrification of Malaysia’s automotive ecosystem.
For his exemplary service, he was conferred the Johan Mahkota Wilayah (JMW) by His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in conjunction with the 2020 Federal Territory Day celebration.
YBrs. Encik Mohamad Nadzim Ibrahim holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) in Civil and Shariah Law from the International Islamic University Malaysia (1993) and an Advanced Diploma in Shariah and Practice (DLSA) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (2010). He is a qualified Advocate and Solicitor, Syariah Advisor in Islamic inheritance law, and a Company Secretary.
Encik Nadzim began his legal career with chambering under YB Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop at Messrs. Abu Seman & Co in Kuala Lumpur (1993-1994) before practicing as an Advocate and Solicitor with the same firm from 1994 to 1996. He later joined Messrs. Shahrizat & Tan (1995-2000) and is currently a Partner at Messrs. Azwan & Nadzim, where he has been practicing since 2000.
His professional experience extends to corporate governance, having been appointed as a Board Member of SME Corp Malaysia (2022) and Felcra Properties Sdn. Bhd. (2023-present). Encik Nadzim is also an active member of the Malaysian Bar Council (1994-present) and has served in various leadership roles in non-governmental organizations and community initiatives, including as a former member of the Disciplinary Board of the Malaysian Bar (2008-2016) and EXCO of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Malaysia (2008).
His dedication to both the legal profession and his community has been recognized with the honor of Kesatria Mangku Negara (K.M.N), awarded for his services to the nation.
