Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera,
As part of MARii’s ongoing commitment to strengthening organisational effectiveness and advancing our strategic priorities, we are pleased to share key updates to our organisational structure and leadership framework.
Effective
1 March 2026, MARii has undertaken a strategic enhancement of its organisational framework, encompassing the refinement of core functions and the introduction of dedicated leadership roles. This initiative is designed further to strengthen our operational, technological, and research capabilities, while optimising talent deployment to meet evolving organisational needs and enhance focus across key strategic areas.
To support this next phase of growth, MARii has established a focused leadership structure comprising the following roles, all of which report directly to the
CEO MARii, Azrul Reza Aziz to ensure strong strategic oversight and organisational coherence:
i) Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Ts Nizmar Mohd Nazar
-
Responsible for leading operational execution, programme delivery, and cross-functional coordination to ensure effective and consistent implementation across MARii’s initiatives.
ii) Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Ts. Mohd Sharulnizam Sarip
-
Responsible for driving MARii’s technical direction and overseeing key technology initiatives and centres, strengthening the organisation’s technical capabilities.
iii) Chief Research & Innovation Officer (CRIO) – Vacant
-
This role will strengthen MARii’s research, innovation, and industry intelligence capabilities, positioning the organisation as a knowledge-driven institution and thought leader within the mobility ecosystem.
This transformation includes several targeted structural enhancements to improve efficiency, clarity, and strategic focus. Attached is the Official Memo & details of the new Organisational Chart.
The new structure will be implemented progressively over a
three-month transition period, ensuring continuity across all programmes and stakeholder engagements. For the majority of MARii personnel, reporting structures will remain largely unchanged. Where adjustments occur, they are intended to enhance role clarity, collaboration, and organisational effectiveness.
We would like to assure our stakeholders that all ongoing collaborations will continue seamlessly, and these enhancements will further strengthen MARii’s ability to support industry development, innovation, and national priorities. MARii looks forward to continued collaboration and support as we enhance our capabilities and reinforce our role as a key enabler within Malaysia’s automotive and mobility ecosystem.
